Back in 2003, the Lord made it possible for Ron and Bridget to turn a dream into reality.  They became the founders of Lumba Christian Ministries.  “Lumba’ means praise in a local language.

Bridget is originally from Kasempa.  She received Christ as her Savior at an early age and received a lot of her early education from a local Mission School.  She was a very good student and eventually became a biology and science teacher at the same  school.  Later,  she had the blessing of traveling to South Africa to Bible School.  After completing her diploma, she traveled to  the USA to receive further Bible training.  It was during this time, at Philadelphia Biblical University, that she met Ron.   They were married in 2000. Bridget has a lovely voice and has recorded several Christian music albums.  She has a big heart for orphaned and abandoned children, and oversees the Lumba Children’s Home.  She has also served as a “mother” (mentor) to many, many young women needing to learn how to follow Jesus.

Ron was born and raised on the East coast of the USA.  He grew up in a Christian home, but didn’t accept Jesus as his personal Savior until in his mid 20’s.  Ron enjoyed a successful sales career, until the Lord called him to leave it all behind and  attend Bible school.  He attended Philadelphia Biblical University, where the Lord blessed him with a good education and a wonderful wife. Prior to co-founding Lumba, Ron served in a number of ministry positions including: working with homeless men, Christian Counseling , Social  Worker, and more.
